Ethiopia Yirga Cheffe Gebeb Asasa

$16.00

We are pleased to offer a dry processed coffee from Ethiopia. Dry or natural processing is where the coffee fruit is dried into the coffee bean, creating a dynamic and complex flavor profile. It is the oldest method of processing coffee, and fortunately many cooperatives in Ethiopia continue the old tradition of processing coffee this way. This particular coffee is from the Gebeb district of southern Yirga Cheffe. Many of the farmers tend to very small plots, more like sizes of backyard gardens. The coffee is all hand sorted and dried on elevated beds, and further sorted at the mills to give this Grade 1 selection.

This coffee is for the adventuresome folk, perfect for those who do not shy away from interesting flavors. Dry process coffees are like no other coffee, with fruit forward aromatics and a densely sweet profile. Tropical and stone fruits mix with gentle florals and a pleasantly delicate acidity bring together this quintessential dry processed Yirga Cheffe.
